Welcome to the City of Folsom Solid Waste Division Web page. Our goal is to provide cost-effective and efficient solid waste, recycling and hazardous materials collection services for our residential and business community. The City of Folsom constantly strives to improve its solid waste services while meeting the States waste reduction and management goals.
The City of Folsom also offers one of the only door-to-door programs in the state for the collection of household hazardous and electronic waste. Recycling hazardous waste is critical in protecting our environment from the potentially harmful effects of these materials.
The Bulky Waste Collection Program offers single-family households the opportunity to receive up to three pickups per year of bulky waste. The program is ideal for getting rid of old appliances, furniture, and other items that do not fit in your curbside cans.
Collection schedules are available on our web tools and Folsom Waste Collection app, available from Google Play and App Store. Residents can also set up collection reminders and link their collection schedule to other electronic calendars. If you prefer a printed calendar, a printable format is available or contact us and we would be happy to mail one to you.
The City of Folsom Bulky Waste Pickup provides the collection of bulky items that will not fit in your trash can. Appointments are available three times per year for no additional charge. Due to the popularity of this program there may be a wait before your pickup date.
